Devlog 2.0.0
The goal of this V2 was to raise the graphic quality and rebalance the characters and the monster. I wanted it to look more professional, more polished.
It took me a year to update everything and fix new bugs.
I'm now very proud of the result and glad to show this new version of my prolog
New features :
- On map mechanics : You can push specified elements in delimited areas, jump over small gaps and slide down cliffs.
- You become a tiny Elliot on the World Map.
- Ring Menu added. Press Ctrl while ingame.
Updates :
- New title screen. Changed the background image, the animations. Added the current version, a copyright and social media buttons with direct links.
- Update credits. New names, new pictures.
- Decreased every quest's rewards. Before, the player was becoming too strong and too fast. I had to slow down everything to make the gaming experience more enjoyable.
- Changed the experience chart.
- Added "Crab" and "Rabbit" monsters.
- Added "Max" foe.
- Removed "Wolf" monster.
- Changed "Rat", "Hornet", "Jellyfish" and "Ridiculously big jellyfish" skin.
- Changed every monster base statistics.
- Changed every monster Experience, Job Points and Moni rewards.
- Modified "Earth Guardian" skills.
- Changed the game font.
- Changed the game window skin.
- Changed the message window skin.
- Changed the main menu UI.
- Added Elliot, Noah et Julia full body art to the main menu.
- Added 5 side quests.
- Changed "Test of Courage" into "Trial of Courage".
- Modified the Trial of Courage quest.
- Added a trial room in Hinter Hollow.
- Added a shortcut passage in Narrow Summit.
- Changed the chest reward display.
- Added faces, names and random dialogues to every NPC.
- Added the tent item. Only available on save points.
- Changed the clock display.
- Changed Elliot's basic attack animation.
- Changed the Scan and Identify skills UI.
- Reworked every single map of the game.
- Changed the damage digits.
- Balanced pieces of equipment.
- Modified the random encounter rate.
Major fix :
- Crash with the board quest when a quest was finished.
Minor fixes :
- Corrected every spelling mistakes.
- Simplified how sidestairs were handled.
- Corrected a couple of text windows.
Known bug :
- If the scan skill is the first thing you use in a battle, it won't focus the right target. Will work perfectly later in the fight.
